my good friend zachary is having feeding trouble with his adult male blood python that he just purchased recently. any advice would be helpful

If the snake is of a healthy weight then go a month or so without trying to feed it and try not to handle it to much. I have had bloods go nearly seven months without eating then all of the sudden they would begin feeding again. Also you said it was a recent purchase so give it some time to settle in. Give it a good dark hide box, proper head gradient and humidity. They are swamp dwelling snakes so give it a thick bed of cypress mulch. (a good substrate for tropical snakes) If he wanted he could even put a blanket over the cage to cut down on the stress accompanied with people passing in front of his cage. Time is your best friend with a healthy blood python.
