I will answer your basic question and I'll follow up and ask some of the Doc's who use more Crofab and advise Protheric's. CroFab is made from sheep serum and should in no way contribute to any problem with egg consumption. Did they give you a Tetanus shot or other innoculation? (A quick glance at those have no side effects to do with eggs either.)
Yes, I know Brad did you get the snake from him?

Jason, is there any chance you had a "flu shot" in the weeks before, or after the snakebite ?
Unlike the tetnus vaccine that you would have probably recieved along with the snakebite treatment, influenza vaccinations are grown on, and contain large ammounts of egg protiens. They are known to create severe allergys to eggs in some people, often a couple of weeks following the immunization.
It is possible that the the stress of the snakebite might have somehow weakened your immune system so that a influenza vaccine could create an allergic reaction to eggs. Just another possibility to look into. However, if you have not recieved a flu shot, we can rule that out.
Best Regards JohnZ

Crofab may have been used under the assumption that C. durissus venom was used in the production of the antivenom. Wyeth Antivenin Crotalidae Polyvalent (ACP) did use neotropical rattlesnake (Crotalus durissus terrificus) venom in the production of their product. A quick reading of the insert or box will dispel any such notion.
