Andrew, It is great to hear that you will be building a repile hospital.
Some of the things you will need are neonate, short, and long snake hooks, regular and extra long tongs, reptile cages and water bowls, sexing probes, eye forceps and tweezers, restraining tubes, an operating table, reference books on reptile surgery and husbandry, cage heaters and humidifiers, spray misting bottles, newspapers for cage liners, a couple of stock tanks with screen mesh covers for large aquatic turtles and crocodiles, and glass aquariums for smaller turtles. Also, possibly a freezer with frozen mice, lizards, rats, etc. Also, you will probably want to maintain cultures of fruit flies, and meal worms, and vegatable fruit baby food, and fresh friot amd vegatables for feeding vegatarian lizards and turtles.
Perhaps some hay straw for the bottom of turtle enclosures.
These are just a few ideas. It sort of depends on what animals you will be working on, and how long you will be keeping them.
Other items that would be nice would be an ultra sound machine and an X ray machine. Also, instant reading thermometers, and snake bags and long handled capture nets.
Rubber knee high boots in assorted sizes, and bite proof gloves in several sizes would be good also.
Just a few of my ideas. The actual reptile vets here will probably have much more to add to the list.
Best Regards JohnZ
