Today i was chatting was someone from Venomone and the told me. As of 10/08 they will be the only supplier of coral snake ant. in the US. Thats what I was told

I *think* it would be more precise to say that, everyone else is expected to run out of the now discontinued Wyeth product by 10/08 and, as of today, venom one are the only ones moving forward with plans to import another product (Biolon).
Maybe there's more to it though. I'll ask next time I see them.

Basically, the story is that since there are so few coral bites, importing the AV is more complicated than buying from a domestic supplier and venom one will be stocking it, hospitals are apparently not going to.
This applies to the Souheast U.S. They will not be the only supplier in the country, but we didn't talk about who was handling the rest.
There is also nothing to stop private keepers or zoos from going through the process of importing their own. They don't have any kind of monopoly on it, they're just the only ones in the medical community to express interest so far. That could change I guess...
