Zuzana, talk about turtles moaning...........
When I worked at the Atlanta Zoo, we had a herd of Aldabra Tortoise, and when they started breeding, the moaning could be heard all over the zoo. Folks would often ask "what it that noise," and we would usually say, "oh, that is those sea lions," or "that is those brown or polar bears," LOL .
Once the tortioses were moved to an enclosure at the children's zoo, it was not the reptile keepers problem any more, but I am sure that the childrens zoo keepers had some fun explaining just what the turtles were up to the thousands of school kids that visited each day, LOL !
