puffadder you understand how believable it is that you where handling venomous at 4 years old ? you said you keep naja and bitis right ? but in post on the topic "first hot" you posted this
i'm waiting on the new texas permits so i can get some naja species
if you are waiting for a permit to get naja speices how do you have them already ? are you saying texas is giving you a permit for venomous ?

its kind of funny that you say that cant deal with such animals because i have alot more experience than you think i have and yes i used to sneak copperheads in all the time and keep them when i was six and yes i knew what snake was what at that time to, so you cant stop me from doing what i know and love, so i am ending this now because this will get nowhere, arin

Ok everyone, lets leave him alone. When he ends up on the news because he's dead, we'll have all proven our point. Good luck kid. I hope for your sake, we're all wrong.

The problem is, of course, when he ends up on the news in a box it's our arses on the line, yet again. Journalists are chomping at the bit to get ahold of a story like that... "16 year old youth killed by deadly hobby, what were parents thinking and how can we stop this from happening again?" There are lots of folks who know exactly how we can stop that from happening again, and those kinds of actions are the ones we see happening all over the US already.
Just do us a favor if you're nailed, which would hopefully be by something local, and tell the hospital and reporters it was a wild snake, NOT one that was occupying a tank in your bedroom.
Oh, as to your original questions, Walterinnesia isn't the hottest elapid around, and apparently very few if any deaths have been attributed to them, but make no mistake: they are certainly capable of putting a human 6' under dirt.

I know chance and have bought from him he definitely knows what hes talking about. i do have another question not sure if anyone else noticed it in the pic on your profile the little critter keeper container on the desk with the green lid looks like a southern copperhead ? In my opinion not a cage that should be holding a venomous snake.
I really hope that know one will ship a cobra to a 16 year old. Im not sure but i didnt think texas required permits for venomous does anyone know for sure ?
Here is a pic of one of my rattlers
