"Favore to ask
Im gettin some copperheads soon, ADULTS! and i would like to converse on venomousreptiles.org for som tips and information soon...you have alot fo authority there...the last few time si made an acccount was respectful and no onr messed with me and I STILL got booted...can you ask if i can be re-admitted respectfully to learn about some copperheads?"
I warned him to be on his best behavior if admitted. One of our primary missions is to educate about safe reptile care & husbantry, if he is willing to ask questions and take the information seriously I think we should give him this opportunity. He did have the moxy to go to the Arlington meeting and speak in the hobbys defense. He was the only one to show up to make his ("our") voice heard.

I went back and checked.
It has been a whole two weeks since he spammed our board into shutting down with multiple identities.
He was warned multiple times about burning bridges in the venomous community.
How long do you think it will be before someone mentions how they were treated on his YouTube pages and we are off again on another profanity filled escapade?
I am all about second chances. By my count, he has had several and was unable to control himself in a public setting.
All that said, I will abide by whatever Chris decides.
I won't even say "I told you so" when it all starts up again.
Just my personal observations.

I agree Al, we should give Nick a second chance here.
When he attended that meeting to represent venomous herpers in Virginia, that was a good thing, and something that no other venomous herper managed to do.
However, he will have keep his behavior in check if someone says something that he does not like.
Turning a post into an personal name calling / cursing match will not be allowed.
Nick will have to be a bit more open minded and less defensive. Some of his ideas on husbandry are just not right, and not safe, and need to be changed. When folks tell him this, he needs to not take it as a threat, and spend some time considering the advise he is given.
I would ask the folks here to give Nick a chance, and not start with the criticism and attacks. When you start making personal attacks on someone, YOU are no longer acting in a professional manner, and have fallen into a trap that will just make you look bad.
As Al has stated, this site is about Education, and if Nick is going to keep venomous snakes, and is willing to learn how to keep them in a safe manner, that is a good thing. And if that safe keeping makes it into his videos, it could help the community as a whole. That would benefit a lot of kids who watch his videos on UTube.

He can search our forum and find out all he needs to know, entirely fulfilling our educational commitment. He's not banned from searching, just from posting. I don't think we owe him another chance. He's not 15, he's 23, gainfully employed and has a wife and child. His previous action here was knowing and deliberate. He can also access the File Library if he wants.
I say "nay" on posting - at this time.

Not that my opinion carries any weight...but I fully left this site until yesterday...I'd hate to see it all start again.
So I have to agree with Chris.
Also, on the Arlington Meeting. I watched the video and Trooper Walsh was also in attendance to offer his expertise for that issue as well as future ones.
Not much better of a professional representative than that IMO.

I know I do not post here that much But I am here more then I ever have been.
I agree with Al about the education and passing on the knowledge that is here.
But it was ugly when things were getting thrown around too.

Yes, Mr. Walsh showed up but his testimony really was WEAK, not defending the whole exotic industry, his main concern was to protect himself and his livelihood, constrictors.
He was not into ‘united we stand, divided we fall’, he was mainly worried (rightfully so) this ban might in the future affect him.
MD was the only one defending venomous keepers and offering some factual data regarding native snakes and laws.
Although Mr. Walsh spoke against the ban, he could have taken stronger stance on defending venomous keepers, since when it comes to fatalities caused by captive snakes, minimal ‘death’ danger is comparable. Since 1995 until now, captive snakes in USA caused 16 fatalities, 9 were caused by venomous snake bite and 7 by large constrictors (2 constrictor’s fatalities were kids, no kids were killed by captive venomous snakes)

Terry makes a very good point, if Trooper Walsh was also in attendance at the Arlington meeting in support of reptile keepers.
You really could not ask for better representation.
It is unfortunate that some of the news folks left that bit of information out.
Those who did attend to fight for the rights of reptile keepers should be commended for their efforts.
Perhaps folks in the rest of Virginia will get organized before copy-cat laws are introduced in other parts of the State.
Perhaps USARK will be up and running by then, and will also be able to offer help in that cause.

Guys, you don’t need to sit doing nothing until USARK gets going, you can write letters to editors and educate people as individuals.
USARK will be another organization that exotic owners can claim as their own to defend our rights, but it is not a miracle cure, we all have to keep working and spreading our message. It is easy to write a check to join a group, what is really needed is more people working/volunteering for the cause as well.
