well i decided to build a cage for my ball python i have yet to purchase lol. i was thinking of about a 4'long cage with a flip open top so its easy to drop the mice in there. i heard heat rocks can burn the snake to go with a mat of some sorts. i can't decide if i should go with sand or mulch in the floor. plus how much heat should my lights put off. any extra tips on helping with this snake is welcomed

Trey, here is a link with some good info to get you goin with the enclosure. http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/tips.shtml
I use a similar design to these aside from the fact I pay more attention to security and I waterproof differently. Good luck and have fun.
