Arin,
The wound should heal with a few sheddings, as long as you have changed the caging in such a way that the snake can no longer keep rubbing.

Also make sure they have some tighter hides. I noticed mine would cruz a lot when I just had a hide in there. When I added a few tight spots they could get into they camled down and also ate better.
This may help with the rubbing.
Monocleds are awesome. I love mine.

If you call up my profile, the picture is of a Naja annulifera that is an inveterate burrower. He regularly messes up his nose to a greater of lesser extent. Even with several inches of substrate, he manages to chew it up pretty well. The photo was taken just after a shed. As you can see, the rostral looks pretty good. He has a good hide, but when he's on the prowl there's no telling where he'll go or what he'll do.
If your problem is rubbing against screen, try a finer mesh. A good hide will always help. Deeper substrate can help in cases like mine. Bigger cages also help. Most importantly, don't let it roam around hungry. [Granted, hard to do. Monacles ALWAYS seem to be hungry. Correction, COBRAS always seem to be hungry.]
My current monocle, raised from neonate, burrows a lot but rarely scuffs. I don't recall a nose rub problem with my previous ones either. I have noticed that regular short interval feedings reduce the sort of behavior that can result in scuffing. If you are feeding large meals at longer intervals, try increasing the feeding frequency while reducing the meal size. With time and assuming the behavioral cause is remedied, the nose should recover.
