		    | It appears to me to be a baby Common Boa, Boa constrictor imperator, often sold as "Colombian Red-Tailed" boas, though without seeing the rest of the snake, it's difficult to tell for sure if it's a B.c.i or "true Red-Tail", B.c. constrictor.  I've never thought boas' faces looked "evil" at all, really, but quite cute, especially when they're babies. |

		    | Timbers have been occasionally referred to as 'velvet tail'. The usage is not common any more.
