I don't believe i ever said machoism was a problem . i was simply using it as a quote from rob carmichael in his previous post . I was simply stating that instead of stiring the pot , lets just converse with each other on the subject . And my deepest apologies for any trouble i may have caused . I have found other threads on the subject , there's just a little more to it . Give details my next visit .

Stacy - you do not have to apologize for anything you wrote. We'd really be quite bored if it weren't for opinions. And this is naturally a fairly sensitive forum I notice at times.....so don't sweat it.

Thanks alot man , but i'm not sweating it . It's just mutual respect , Respect for ones peers . And you do have to walk on nails in these things sometimes and choose your words carefully , If not more than often your head gets bit off , sometimes it almost feels like the kid @ petco lecturing you on feeding practices , now i know we've all had that happen at one point in time . But overall I love feeding off others knowledge , and really knowledge is what we need to survive in this " hobby " . Well it's late , I'm working overtime tomarrow , and i'll poke my head in here sometime after work . Goodnight to all .

I think the danger with large constrictors is pretty much the same as it is with venomous snakes: underestimating them due to size. As John said, the majority of deaths from large constrictors are caused by snakes in the 9-14 foot range.
