he was talking about gaboons in this post asking if i would sell him one.
i liked the comment about how his mom buys him venomous snakes for doing well on his report card and that he spends his money on weed.

Hilarious, really (I have to admit to having a rather black sense of humor). Well, it takes all kinds, and there's obviously no "reforming" or "educating" such a person.... he is what he is, and proud of it (whatever it is). Unfortunatley, snakes have always held an intrinsic attraction for the "Weirdo-American" community. He reminds me of the well-known NC bluegrass festival promoter and all-around nut-ball Carlton Haney (once interviewed in Hustler magazine) who claimed to have mastered Chiropracty by studying the spine of a dead possum he found in his yard. Never saw any testimonials from his patients, though.

Damn-- I just noticed where he said if he had "the venom sacs removed" from his WDB, then he could "free handle it like (his) rock rattler."
Does that mean that you "venomoided" (as in "voided") a C. lepidus, or a C. l. klauberi?? That's like throwing paint on a Picasso, kid.
Hilarous, maybe, but he's definitely not harmless!

I bet it means that he is free handling the rock rattlesnake, and that the rock rattlesnake is NOT a venomoid.
I believe that he thinks that the "small" rock rattlesnake is of little danger, because of the small size.
If that is the case, it is a very big mistake. The venom of rock rattlesnakes has almost killed several folks over the years.
Best Regards John Z

i do free handle my rock rattler, he is not cb.. i under stand hwo deadly he is but his temperment is unbeliveable! The WDB had bitten me before but he injected soo litttle venom i did not seriously worry about it, and i dont belive i am crazy lol :) far from it.. crazy smart :p i will belive that :) and the fact that im underage and keeping venomous should not be a great deal, i use my father's coverall's that are an inch and a half thick (its to help resist acid from burning trough) and i use large gloves that are thick ... as for the av, i do indeed know how to make it and what is required, i would appreate if people would get off me fucking back about my age but i dont see that happening.. so sadly people doubt.. well best of reguards..

I have no objections to a 16 year old haveing a venomous snake ,provided a snakebite protocall is regestered at his local hospital,he has adult supervision, and good common scense. Not worried about a bite I know how to make antivenom.Sorry kid you lost me there it takes a long time to make anitivenin. You dont get bit and whip up a batch in the kitchen sink. The old polyvailent made with horse serum was just as deadly as a bite thats why crofab is made from sheep serum.I have had both and went into shock and my heart stopped from the horse serum.I nearly died.Man be careful listen to advice from a oldherp guy and all the other keepers here there is so much to learn dont be a statistic absorb knowledge learn something new every day be teachable. And lead this hobby or profession proudly into the next generation.LIFE ONLY COMES ONCE ENJOY IT LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST DRUGS WILL SLOW REACTION TIM YOU NEED IN THIS HOBBY. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.ARCHIE
