Well, the Army changing it's story pretty much proves what us herpers knew all along. The young man did not die of cottonmouth snake bite.
So, why did they invent the lie in the first place ?
They could have easily said the young man died of heat exhaustion or dehydration, both of which are possibilities, and would have been more believable.
Why did they invent the cottonmouth story ?
Why will they not release the records to the family and to the family physician ?
The unfortunate thing, is the body was cremated.
Thus a lot of evidence is gone.
But, the answers are there to be found. They exist with the other soldiers who were involved in the training and were in the same training exercise at the same time.
And, the answers are there with the friends of the young soldier from his close friends who knew him from high school. The answers are there in the tapes of his calls to home, and in his letters home. Listen to what he said . . . . . .
The answer is among the others who trained with the young man. With those who shared barracks with him. Those who were in the woods with him on the same training exercise, and the officers in charge of that. It is a small number of folks . . . . . . .
