I few months ago I but up a blog about a argument I had at petco about feeding f/t mice. when I went to get a live rat the other day I ran into the same guy. He again was asking why I dont use f/t. I told him again that my ball python will only take live. Well...he actually challenged me to bring the snake up there and he would get it to eat f/t. lol..so I did and after over an hour of trying the same tricks I have the snake never took it. Now I do wish he would eat f/t but its a ball python and some just wont do it. maybe now they'll just shut-up and let me get my live rat in peace. I just thought that was really funny.

I understand what you are going through. I had the same problem with several of my snakes and am working with a juvinel copperhead now who wont eat f/t mice. I find it simply takes an extended amount of patience and various methods of atracting them to the dead prey. One thing I have done that works well with most difficult eaters is to thaw the prey in a zip lock bag so water does not wash the scent away and make a lateral cut along the back of the head and neck. There are countless ways and I am sure you will be bombarded with ideas from the other guys here but good luck and keep you charge full and healthy.
