Wade, you might get more replies, and better information if you fill in your profile a bit more. That lets us know your level of experience a little better, and allows folks to offer better advice.
Some here will not even respond to a question if the user does not have a complete profile filled out.
Take Care.

It's one of those questions where if you have to ask, the person shouldn't have one. ALL VENOMOUS SNAKES ARE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS if kept improperly! And, without providing a profile, there's no way they are going to get any responses.

This is all a moot point since you need a permit to keep anything venomous in TN....You have a better chance of finding Osama Bin Laden hiding under your bed than them issuing you the permit.

For starters I have up dated my profile and I am not speaking of any hots I might or might not be keeping I am in the process of getting a permit in tn so that question will be irrelevant soon either ways I am not a dumbass I know all venomous snakes are dangerous but the there is a major difference between a copperhead bite and a Fierce Snake bite so all I was asking is just how bad of a temperament do they have and how toxic is their venom I know it isn’t stronger than a boomslang snakes venom and not as weak as a hognose but that is a major difference there all I was trying to do was narrow down how potent they were and for everyone’s information I was young and dumb at 14 years of age and I picked up and milked a cotton mouth in the wild now I am alot more cautious but still I have plenty of hands on experience

I haven't had any experience with these snakes myself, but have read up on them a little. Here is some of what I found about the venom - http://www.toxinology.com/fusebox.cfm?fuseaction=main.snakes.display&id=SN1543. According to this some pain and swelling around the bite site is normal. It doesn't go into great detail about what could happen, but this website classifies them non-venomous. I'm not an expert, but I hope I helped.

does it matter if they shoot you in the head,at point blank range,
with an AK-47 or an Desert Eagle???
you cant compare venomous snak bites!!
they can all be lethal and because of that all of these snakes should be treated as potentially lethal!!!
my 2 cents
