I posted a topic a few weeks ago asking for advise on what the best herping vehicle would be and I think I finally found it. I recently bought a 1996 Chevy silverado 1500 4x4 extended cab. Just thought I'd share.

I now have a '93 Jeep Wrangler that my nephew fitted out for me w/ tires that are way too wide for the narrow mountain trails up here.... it's much more of a coastal-type Jeep, and I can't wait to get down there and try it out.
I used to have a '92 Subaru Loyale station wagon that was really great.... very small and narrow and highly maneuverable. It would go up the narrowest mountain trails, and also had lots of space in the back. It finally died just short of having 400K on it.
