Don, it definitely sounds like the young fellow is not ready to be keeping venomous snakes, and wants to keep them for the wrong reason.
Keep trying, maybee you and your friends can talk some sense into him, or, perhaps his mom.

I am also in complete agreement. I am not much older than you and i have gotten calls from parents and been in similar situations before. Talking to the parent is the way to go. Show them your video, and have a good heart to heart with them. That is the best way to go. If you know an older keeper that can talk to them give that a try. The mom may also look at you as being young yourself and her outlook may be " well, if he was young when he started than it is okay for my youngster". So try to get an older person to give it a try.
