I'm planning a short herp trip to Texas, coming from Missouri, in April. Can anyone recommend any good areas to find snakes in Northern Texas? I plan on camping in the area I choose(saves on hotel rates). Thanks for any suggestions.

Sweetwater is the best that i know of. My brother and I cruised old farm road and found quite a few WDB. Start well afterd dark. I believe that rd runs for 70 miles or so.

That's right, old farm Rd is a good spot. we loaded up last fall. Abilene is a good spot as well, pull off the road at dusk and walk around any of the rocky out crops and you should see a few WDB out and about. chewwwy
