Not sure who this person is but states that his goal is to breed and release reptiles. Seeing in that he lacks a background in biology and therefore, population dynamics, genetics, etc. it's scary stuff when people are just releasing animals (even though I'm sure its with good intentions). Programs must be carefully planned and in partnership with the appropriate state agency in charge of such activities. Releasing captive bred animals usually results in the quick demise of that animal but should it reach sexual maturity, can do far more harm than good.

When i was a kid there were garters every where i wish the state could restock them.due to cotton farming the habitats are too contaminated now what a shame.

Rob, I actually saw that and started to send the guy a private email rather than post here. I am a little reluctant to start a controversy or "pissing contest" as are seen here from time to time. Having a biology background, like many do here, I certainly realize the potential impact. I also take things people put in their profile with "a grain of salt also". I am glad you spoke up and somewhat "bummed" I saw it, but did not. Take care.
