COuld you explain why haast is unusual (Ie is in coded in his immune system since birth?) and why others like Tim Friede (hope you dont mind the plug) are accomplishing very similar things?

Glad I could help. I didn't mean that you were really making us look bad, you would only be making us look bad if you were illegally owning them. As far as just being bitten, is not as bad. I really cant say anything about the venom injections, as to I have no knowledge on the topic.
All I can say, is stay safe, use your equipment, and respect the animals.

Even though one is building immunities to the venoms, he is also slowley destroying vessles and tissue along the way. You might have a wonderful immune system, but in most cases you will find that it is balanced out from the damaged caused by the injections. Bill is a rare case in that some way he didn't have much tissue and vascular damage. That is not the norm! That is what venom is meant to do, even in small doses.

I stay in touch with my doctor, for monthly blood work. and there has been no concerns so far. all is fine. maybe someone knows more than he.??? The injection has canebrake, cottonmouth, and EDB. Anyway, thanks all. And if someone can ansser the venom shot deal, feel free.

Where are you getting the venom to inject? I suspect you are milking your snakes!!! That's asking for another bite! Remember, hands off unless truly necessary. Unless you like being bitten.

Biff. The venom was collected from me, but I have not had to milk any snakes for a long time. I have tons of it. and I do not plan to do any milking my self anymore. I might add that all my venom injections are done in the cleanest of ways. I even get my supplys from a doctor. (not the venom) Anyway To ansser Jareds question, I myself could not ansser that. I have studyed this hard and long. There just is not much good info on it. There is ongoing research on it, but not much one can get hard facts. There is a place called (GREAT LAKES VENOM LAB) that does venom injection research, (in a big way) check out there sight. I do not have there e-mail address, but just go by there name and you will find it. Well thanks agian. Spanky

Spanky, if I were you, I would take Allens advise, I know him and he is one sharp fellow. If he tells you that this self venom injection will kill you sooner than later, than it will.
