Jay, you asked "Anyone have any experience with Death Adders? I want to get one."
And you recieved several answers from experienced Death Adder keepers about the snake, and urging you to be very cautious if you decide to keep them. You were given information on the temperment, and some on captive care, and some on the expense of antivenom.
Your profile had nothing about your age, or experience in keeping venomous snakes. Despite that, no one here told you to not get a Death Adder. We did however, suggest that it is not a very good choice for a first venomous snake for anyone.
You are the one who has taken this thread off in several weird directions about dying by snakebite, (and I actually agree, that a Death Adder bite would probably be preferable to the hospital scene you painted), and about not caring about the rest of the venomous reptile community, or, your medical expenses.
So anything that you see here as an "attack" on you, is a direct result of things that "you" have said that make you look uncaring about no one except yourself.
If you do wind up buying a Death Adder, (and I am sure there are dealers who will sell you one), for your sake, and for the sake of other venomous keepers who will be hurt when you get bitten, find someone with experience working with Death Adders, and have them show you how to work with that snake safely.
Death Adders have behaviors that can get you bitten very quickly. They do not act like other snakes. If you give them the opportunity to bite, they will take advantage of it. Get yourself some compression bandages, learn how to use them, and find out where the nearest source of antivenom is.
I hope this helps, but doubt that it will.
Best Regards
John Z

Sorry Karl, you posted that while I was writing a reply. I agree that we should probably let this thread end, and get on to more productive questions.
Best Regards
