I want to wish all of the mothers on the site a happy mother's day! I think that it is safe to say that I could not have developed my love for natural history without the patience and understanding of my mother. My dad is cool too, but it was my mom who was always 'helping me' clean snake cages, feeding snakes, scouring the house for the cornsnake that escaped (again), sticking her hand down in the garbage disposal to rescue my garden spider, putting down her morning coffee to pick up my crawfish and take him back up the stairs to put him back in his tank...the list goes on. Thanks mom! And I'm sure the moms on this site are helping their kids to develop the same wonder and respect for the natural world. Keep up the good work!

My mother was also the understanding one who supported my interests.

I remember my mom screaming my name and running to the back yard to rescue her from the garter in her garden I was 6 .Later she saved more than one of my snakes from my dads boot when they got out.She was also on my side when I got my first rattler at age 11.Moms rule.

yes i want to wish all the mothers a happy mothers day. i remember that because of my fascination with reptiles .on my 12th birthday my mom surprised me with my first reptile a Green Iguana we named him 'Drago'.without her support and love i wouldnt be in the possition im in. LA QUIERO MUCHO MAMI.
