Hey folks, we have several snakes needing identification. There is the post below, with the snake from Iraq, and on the last two pages of the Snakes For Identification in the Photo Album, we have several new photos that have been submitted.
If you can identify the snakes, post it here.
A couple of them are very easy to identify, however, the ones from Costa Rica might be a bit more of a challenge.
Best Regards

Here's a few:
The "fer-de-lance?" shot of the snake on the door in Guancaste, Costa Rica, is a Trimorphodon (lyre snake) - rear-fanged, but not usually considered dangerous
The Sri Lankan snake eating/regurgitating a frog is a Dendrelaphis sp. (bronzeback), harmless
Louis Caron's horned viper is exactly that - Cerastes cerastes
The baby coral snake from Costa Rica is not a coral snake (Micrurus) - just as well, considering how it is being handled. Not sure what it is though.
Cheers,
WW

Again, I am not an expert on Costa Rican snakes.
But, I would guess that the "The baby coral snake from Costa Rica" is probably a juvenile "Coffee Snake" Ninia sebae.
Just my guess though and I am not nearly as fluent in the snakes from there as WW.
