I am in Southern NV, so far the 'jury' was deliberating between ugly Speckled (usually they r nicer pinkish color around here, nastier personality too) or Mohave
This snake had nice disposition even though I by accident woke it up in the middle of the day and got my hands within 2 inches of the beast.(don't hate me, I visually checked, under brush,I was actually gardening and getting rid of weeds so i can see snakes better,... but they camouflage so WELL here, and this one was small under 2 feet)
The speckleds I usually see r more pink and trigger happy, like PMS woman, always in bad mood.
We r building more tiger cages and i had no chance to get my new hook from Karl, garage is a mess, cant find anything until we r doen with tiger stufff...but this snake would have been easy to hook, very mellow
This year we see more wildlife then usual, lizard and chipmunk galore, 2 days ago coach whip, 3 days ago another rattler, also 1 month ago,etc... I wonder if i shoud blame it on wet winter and prey food being available in lower elevations... or the fact the neighbors have less money and don't feed wildlife as mcuh, so all wildlife, aka chimpunks, come here now to steal our dog food and snakes follow them???

OK, the sooner we get a positive ID on the snake to keep it factual, the sooner we can get another bikini/rattlesnake video 2 on YoTube

It is indeed a Panamint rattlesnake. You can tell from the black line around the mouth and base of the tail. I've also seen your other videos and they are all Panamint rattlesnakes.

OMG I messed up, I meant John Z's hook, NOT Karl's, so sorry John, this would ahve been a great time to test it snake was mellow,... if the garage wasdn't a war zone with 6 and 9 gauge chainlink and tools all over...

Not a problem Zuzana, I am sure you will have more rattlesnakes to deal with. That should give you a good chance to use the snake hook.
As far as the chipmunks eating the dog food, well, those rodents are leaving scent trails, and those could very well be followed by hungry rattlesnakes onto your property.
Best Regards
