Is is possible to breed snakes in the offseason, like cycle in the warm months? If so, is that species specific? I plan to breed 1.1 naja sputatrix, and 1.1 naja melanoleuca. My free time is unlimited in the warm months and i was curious if i could get a head start on my breeding project.
thanks
Chris

I have never done it personally but have read that if you keep the temperatures and light cycles correct almost anything will breed in the 'off-season'. Proper cooling and length of daylight are the main factors.

The ranco unit is avail at Grangers from around 45.00. It will cycle for hot or cold within 1 degree. A space heater can be plugged into it as well, the Ranco has its own temp sensor which has about a 12' cord that can be placed for very accurate readings. Several sensors can be used as well. There are also several other controllers that can be used depending on what you want, such as humidity control/light cycle etc. and how much you want to spend from other companies
