I've got some black racer eggs that have been incubating for 49 days at 76-83 degrees.
They are just now starting to deflate.
I've seen some lizard eggs deflate before hatching, and since I've acctually never hatched out eggs I don't know if this is normal.
And I've got black rat snake eggs at 43 days, same temperatures, same humidity, and they're all perfect.
If anyone's had any experience with racer eggs please help me out...
Thanks in advance,
Jon Short

John eggs will change shape slightly just before they hatch. Normally the eggs will cave in here or there slightly as the hatchling absorbs more egg yolk. Give it a few more days to see if neonates start pipping out of the egg shell.
