Hey for all of you who read a post of mine a couple weeks ago about me asking ' how can you tell if a snake is gravid' First off I am sorry John for not getting back to you I have been really busy and not around my comp. Long story short I was sitting here and i happened to look in my cerestas's cage and low n behold it was giving birth to a little baby. I apologize for my grammer and my spelling, but I am so excited this is my first time seeing this in person. Such a wonderful thing to see. Paul I am sorry that I sided with my friends son, now I have a full understanding of what you guys have to lose with people who dont care about the local laws and the impact of their actions have on the community. I just want to say thank you all .

Try the spelling again, but congratulations nonetheless. I can understand the excitement and it often leads to pushing more or other keys than planned. Particularly if you lack sweet keyboarding skills as I do...

Keep them hydrated they should feed sometime after there first shed. Some neonates are born with a large reserve from absorbing there yolk.So it may be a couple of weeks.Try day old pinkies or brained pinkies but most likely the first meals will be small lizards scolerops or earless lizards.Do not over feed if they eat allow them to digest the meal before feeding again.Others will chime in to help I would guess, we all want to see the babies live.Oh remember keep them hydrated............Archie

Congrats!
Getting them to breed is the easy part, now getting them to feed & thrive.
One of my remaining babies from last year just took food (live tiny pink mouse)on it\'s own yesterday for the first time. I\'ve had to assist feed them for months. I\'ve been feeding them House Gecko tails from frozen stock, thawed in with the mice for other snakes. This leaves the mouse scent on the tail which I remove and stick in their mouth (not so easy or completely safe)then they usually will do the rest. This has to be done twice a week.
Good luck,
Al
