First let me start off by saying that this is in no way meant as any disrespect to anyone.
Repticon appreciates everyone support and help with bringing back Columbia to where it use to be.
The Best Venomous included show on the east coast!
There is one issue we would like to cover: Trades and Sales going on in the Parking lot.
The vendors who sign up to do a show, do so because they have animals/products for sale. They Pay the booth fee to be able to offer them to the public.
This makes it safe for the buyer and seller!
That being said, We are making an Official Statement:
There will be NO selling or Trading done in the parking lot or any other part of the Temple property with the exception of vendors inside the venue!
There will be Plain Clothes Police Officers who will be wondering the property. If you are caught breaking this rule they will escort you off the premises and you will be told not to return.
I hope everyone understands the reasoning here.

Sounds like a good rule to me.
We sure do not need to have some venomous snake getting loose in the parking lot, and being lost among the cars.
If folks want to make private reptile trades / sales, let them do it it at the hotel room, or, at the Waffle House parking lot, LOL.
Best Regards

That is not a problem as long as you either call the vendor when you arrive and let them come bring in the animal/s or stop at the ticket table and tell them that you have venomous for a vendor. They will either call for a venomous escort or that vendor.
Easy and safe enough!

It's been my understanding that Repticon doesn't have a problem with people bringing in non-venomous animals to trade with VENDORS INSIDE THE BUILDING. After all, the vendors paid for their tables and the priviledge of being there to do business, and if show attendees do their own trading/buying/selling outside in the parking lot, they are not patronizing those folks who paid to be inside and to sell/trade animals. If someone wants to swap animals or buy animals from another person who is not a vendor, why bother going to a reptile show in the first place, when you can arrange to meet that person someplace else? I've brought non-vens to shows and swapped with a paying vendor for something they had that I wanted, if I happened to have something the vendor wanted, so we both benefitted. I've also had vendors buy animals from me, if I had something they wanted but they didn't have a trade, and they could turn around and either keep or sell that animal. When customers make deals in the parking lot, though, the folks who paid to sell animals are left out of the loop. I don't know the policy on bringing in venomous to trade/sell with vendors, but since venomous require an escort from the building to the car, I'd assume that the opposite would also apply, and an escort would be needed to accompany that person INTO the building with such animals, and they would need to go directly to whichever vendor they needed to see, or else leave that animal in a secure place that had no access to the public until a vendor could be found who was interested in that animal, who could find time to go check it out so we would still not have folks walking around carrying potentially dangerous animals.

Sharon..You hit the nail on the head (so to speak). You are 100% correct and that was my point for the post. That and the liability for Repticon.
Brandon... You are allowed to bring 2 non venomous to trade/sell to vendors.
