hey,
I'm 17 and I have had snakes with my brother since I was 11.I have now in my posession the following snakes:Koningspython (Python regius)
Korenslang missing red (elaphe gutatta gutatta)
Groene leguaan (iguana iguana)
sinaloan melkslang (Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae
When I turn 18(or when I feel ready) I would like to start with copperheads.Is there any advise you could give me,realy interesting things to know?Or witch snake do you advice?When will I know I'm truely ready for them..etc.?

hey,another question.Once in my live I would like to keep a bitis gabonica...Could this also bee a beginners hot?I read the caresheet and I don't realy think it's a good first hot..But what do you guys think?

KEEP the snake that most interests you as long as you feel confident.. you should have no reason to have close contact with the proper tools.. odds in your favor!!!! TOXIC-BITE.......

Before going on to hots, I had several nippy tree boas and other angry non-venomous snakes, then moved on to rear fanged snakes. All these snakes helped with my hooking and handling skills. I have heard a lot of people say that their first hot was a copperhead. Mine was a Northern Pacific Rattler, I love their color, and they have one of the best temperaments of any rattler (from my experience).
