I don't know if anyone has looked at the photos that I posted in the filed photos section. I am in CA visiting my parents right now, and I found five Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes in the parking lot of a golf course. They are dangerously close. I think the first time one goes out towards the road it will be killed. One of the snakes there is also one of the most beautiful Northern Pacific's I have ever seen. I would like to relocate the five of them. I know a good area to release them, there are some dens there, other NP's, and no one will bother them again. I just wanted to know what you all think before I go out and move them. Thanks, and good luck with all your snake seasons. -erik

It doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. I would just recommend releasing them an an immmidiate area that you have seen other rattlesnakes. Or an area where you know there will be sufficient prey. Sometimes, in re-locating snakes, people tend to forget one of the most important factors---food. It is good that you atleast have some dens located. Good luck Anthony MO

There are dens, other snakes, tons of mice, rabbits, and ground squirrels. It's Northern Pacific Heaven, and it's not far away. I still go there to take photos of the snakes that are already there.
