I've a young gaboonviper (about one year old) and he wants to eat pre-killed mice/little rats only.
For several times I've tried to feed him live prey, but he refuses even to strike at it. Sometimes it looks like if he's al little bit afraid of it.
Is this "normal" behavior, or is there something wrong. Should I be worried??

I have seen a lot of snakes act like that. It's pretty normal. The size of the prey may intimidate the snake. Feeding frozen/thawed prey is much better for the snake in any case, less chance of injury or transmissible parasites.

Worried, no. Consider yourself lucky. Pre-killed is the prefered method among hobbyist, enthusiest and professionals. (You might consider freezing first and then reheating, to prevent parasites.) If no other problems exist, stay on that track. I had a rescued copper once that literally ran from a mouse. Right before I relocated her, I tried killing the rat,,,,,,she ate it almost immediately. Herps are funny sometimes, even weird.....but if you have one that prefers pre-kill, count yourself amoung the lucky and continue to offer that as the primary food.
