As was posted before, there are two problems with this idea and both revolve around money more than morals.
The cost to raise these animals to a useable size far exceeds the return for the meat, or even the skin.
As well, rattlesnake meat is more of a novelty than a real food item. There is not enough meat involved, and the work to get a little meat from a lot of bone is tenuous at best. There is no real market for the meat. People are going to stick with the mainstream foods and something that different has little to no chance of catching on. Remember ostrich?

If you look at this for a minute from a different angle , say you want to raise some kind of livestock for food . Why raise dangerous animals when there are non - dangerous ones available ? And why raise small species when there are huge ones available ?
High priced novelty stuff ? Stupidity / greed , I think . And if they actually try it , who will catch the heat when one or more of them gets hurt or killed ?
