besides the bite to perkins in st louis in 1928 and louis morton's break in to the national zoo in 1986, does anyone know of any other very well documented / medically significant gaboon envenomations? if so, would you mind pointing me to a source? i've seen many in the literature, but they're only the vaguest of anecdotals...

This is a very detailed powerpoint predsentation documenting a Gaboon bite to the face (ouch!) in Winnipeg, Canada. There's a practically minute by minute documentation of lab work, vital signs, treatments used etc, but also a lot of superfluous info in it:

Freehandling a gaboon with your face while 10 beers deep is not my idea of a smart move.
