I have recently heard rumors of the state changing its policy to 100 dollars and 100 hours for a venomous permit. Has anyone else heard about this? if so please respond. i am very concerned.

I spoke to a Florida F & G representative when I called to check on the status of my permit application last week. The permit fee went up to $100 per year on June 12th. I do not know about a change to the hours requirements. Karl H. Betz

The 100 hour thing is unsubstantiated at this time. Currently, 1000 hours are still required.
