I have a few questions! Starting with, I live in North Carolina and I want to be able to keep Canebrakes/Timbers. 1) How do I go about obtaining a license/permit to keep them? what all is involved in obtaining one? 2) Does state laws over ride local or county laws? Meaning, if it is LEGAL to keep snakes in your STATE, but not your COUNTY, how does that work?? I have been keeping snakes all of my life and I love them and will ALWAYS keep snakes, BUT one of my favorite snakes is protected in NC, (Canebrakes) and I wanna be able to keep them legally. Any help on this would be great. Thanks!!!

Canebrakes 'protected' in NC, LOL.
That cracks me up - tell one of those fat-ass, red-necks from Hyde County they can't run them over anymore ... LOL, yeah, they'll listen to the law.
