For sake of argument that is a good find, but it is still not the historical (12th century C.E.) definition of the word. But I guess with todays vernacular people can make words mean whatever they want. Any way thats not the point of the post. I am glad you got the advice you came for. Stay safe.

This discussion is preposterous,There are no "tame" animals period, have you ever been scratched by your cat or nipped by your dog? those incidences are harmless, right? And you still consider your animal "tame". The fact is that all animals have certain behaviors, that can be interpreted as tame. I have had wdb's that were as mellow as an old dog, never rattled, never struck, but just like that family dog,were more than capable of suddenly attacking, and doing great damage. Point being, unlike your cat, if that heloderm decides to nip you, it will be devestating for the herp community, and yourself. So dont do it. Thanks.
