Sherman was great man. Those that never met him missed out.The study Dr. Straight did with CroFab with SA venoms we provided most of the venom. The reason I question the usage in Brazil is that they produce their own and have free medical care ( you know that evil socialist medicine). Also CroFab is not very effective to Bothrops bleeding issues. Yes everyone take care. If you have not check out the Bothrops bite video on the zoo's Facebook. We used Bioclon Tri and it worked well.

There will be free lunches and free medical care when money grows on trees. Until then somebody has to pay for both.
This is why so many people try so hard to become rich because it's axiomatic that when you're rich you can buy things that many other people can't buy. It is the engine for economic growth.
Socialism was tried in the Soviet Union and Cuba to name two. So far it hasn't come off so well.

Not going to argue with you. Lived in both systems and because of humans neither worked as well as it could. Yeah are medical system has problems . If your insured go out side your provider. We don't get to pick our doctors that's a politic joke on us. USA is the greatest country in the world but we are far from prefect. Every blames Obama or even Bush for our problems. I start well before both of them when greed and people started suing at the drop of a hat in winning. Remember the coffee lawsuit what surprise coffees hot. As Americans we should get medical care before we try to run other countries. As a business we pay out a lot for workers comp. The companies writing policies are not going losing money. Corp greed and lazy people are our problem. Everyone talks about our rights what about our right to medical care. All systems are broken and open our eyes the train is coming.And it's not just them(OBama or Bush) it's us. We Americans need to stop whining and fighting / blaming come together for the better good of all. Both parties fight and we lose. By way wait till your insurance doesn't allow for treatment. I would rather pay more in taxes if they went to medical care. Then for the elected officials to go on fact finding overseas. I am for helping over seas but amercia comes first. Russia failed because it was a corrupt government not because of socialized medicine. My opinion nothing more.

Now we're getting to something we can agree on. The cause of human suffering throughout history has been the human condition. We're not such a wonderful species and that's not likely to change...and yes, this is the greatest country in the world and yes we are far from perfect but I don't see a better model anywhere.
With that as a given, freedom and some form of capitalism has been the best working model so far.
So far at least both my wife and I have been able to choose our health care providers with no outside interference.
We agree again in that we are far too quick to go to court although it may be a little bit better than duels with black powder pistols, but not by much. And yes, I remember that ridiculous hot coffee case. I also remember it was silly people on the jury who made the award.
I've checked over both our state and federal constitutions and don't see any reference to a right to medical care - or food - or clothing - or shelter - or even a big yacht. Because government got in the games as middle man we waste massive amounts of money on bureaucracy. I believe we did better when NGOs handled the suffering. I know our schools were much better when run by the states and there was no federal Department of Education.
Russia failed because socialism took away the incentive to work hard and profit (GASP!) from their hard work. Ultimately the Soviet citizens came to understand their own irony "We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us."
Winston Churchill summed it up best. ""Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy."
and...""The vice of capitalism is that it stands for the unequal sharing of blessings; whereas the virtue of socialism is that it stands for the equal sharing of misery."
My opinion, which, like sphincters, it seems everyone has one (including me).
