I live in Woodstock Ga, in Cherokee County. I was wondering if anyone knows any good area's for field herping.
Recently I have been going to parts of Allatoona Lake and the woods surounding it herping, but I'm not having much luck looking for copperheads(Agkistrodon contortrix mokasen). The only thing I have found so far was a small Ringneck snake (Diadophis punctatus) .
If anyone from this part of Georgia knows of any good herping spots please let me know.

I live in Smyrna and have found a couple areas. I was amazed to find a chain king, Racer, 4 water Snakes and a couple other odds and ends in the span of about an hour at a park on the hooch right at 285. Look, but don't touch area (even for coppers), but fun to photograph.
