What do you use to feed your hots with the really long strike range? Im having a hard time finding anything over 24". That works fine for allot but feel like I need bigger for my gaboon. Am I being over paranoid? If not anywhere to find some?

A set of snake tongs works well. I use standard midwest tongs to hand off rats to my biggest Eastern Diamondbacks. Be safe and smart. If you are dealing with pit vipers and feeding off room temp food items, they sometimes will overshoot the rat aiming for your heat signature.

I'm not sure you can be too paranoid with a gaboon... This is where a cage design like the neodeshas comes in handy. If the snake is at one end of the cage, you open the other end and present the rat/mouse through the opening, coming in at an angle where the glass is shielding your hand. The snake would have to strike whatever distance it is from the opening, around a corner and then the length of the tongs. Of course, if you have one of those snakes that will only strike when a rat just about touches their nose and won't eat one they haven't struck it can get a little more interesting.
Or you can get a long pair of snake tongs as previously suggested.

Peter hit the nail on the head. 4ft tongs are your solution. Every herper should own at least one pair.
