I would like to know, as hot keepers , what is the venomous snake that you most like keeping. For me, I enjoy my monocle cobra the most just because she has a lot of personality.

My favorite venomous snake would have to also be my monocle cobra, just from the intelligence he displays. If given a chance though I would love to work with king cobras. Then maybe the king cobras would be my new favorite.

It's funny you mention intelligence because although snakes brains are less evolved then birds, I have also noticed that for a snake my monocle cobra is highly intelligent. It's actually able to form routines that it remembers and express itself well. I have even been able train it to respond to certain stimuli in a certain way, something I never imagined I would be able to teach a snake to do. Additionally, it has the best feeding response I have ever witnessed. It will literally eat whatever I put in the cage. it never turns down a meal. My monocle is also a really hardy animal I couldn't imagine it dying from a the picture drop or upper respitory infection like some of the more fragile species I keep. All around it is an awesome snake. I also here that king cobras are supposed to be highly intelligent and good to keep. They even make nest for their young and guard them. However, their diet of all snakes seems to be a draw back. When I have the space I would also love to keep one as well however.

I love keeping the most my gaboon viper shes amazing i love her she has mood swings i think if any thing shes bipolar hahaha lol anytime foods around he second personalty comes out to play

My All time favorites would be the Papuan Taipan, Red Headed Krait, Eastern Green mamba and the Neotropical Rattlesnake,

I read somewhere that snakes are like potato chip. And I agree. Its almost impossible to have one. And there are so many varieties. You always seem to find one you like alittle more than the last. I do have many snakes i like. Timber rattlesnakes would probally be my favorite. And having been able to work wit them for many years. I can say they are extremely intelligent. I also find forest cobras amazing.
