I have some picky snakes that prefer chicks over mice or rats. Chicks are more cost efficient. Is it alright to stick with them as a diet for those snakes? Or is there not enough nutritional value to them?

From what I have dealt with personally, it depends on the size of the animal your feeding. I know one of my baby reticulated pythons refused to eat a jumbo mouse, so I gave a medium rat a shot at it. She pounded it like a champ! Lighting conditions, temperature, live vs f/t. As far as nutritional value goes I'm not sure that it makes much of a difference to be honest.
