Does anybody have any experience with the Lacrosse brand of snake proof boots, specifically the Snake Charmer or Venom Scent HD boots? How are they as far as durability, comfort, waterproofness, reliability etc. etc.? Any info helps, thanks.

I don't have any personal experience with that brand, but they look okay. I noticed they mention 100% protection, if your not reading carefully, you'll think they're talking about protection from snakebite, when they are actually referring to water protection. A lot of the boots I see work fine, but they're very hot to wear. Remember, you don't need snake boots if it's 20 degrees outside, make sure they're comfortable in warm weather. I have a pair of these that I'll be trying out this year.

Thanks for the reply, very good advice. After some research, I am no longer considering the venom scent boots, as many have had a problem with the waterproofing failing on the first outing. I also find that after trying lace up boots, and hearing problems with the waterproofing on some zip up boots, I have decided that the pull on style of snake proof boots were the best option (had a pair of Cabela's Eldorado pull on snake proof boots that I absolutely loved). Does anybody know how good Lacrosse's track record is? .Thanks
