Ok, so in the past, I have posted questions about different snake proof boots. What I want to do now is ask what manufacturers make quality snake proof boots and which don't. Also, I need suggestions on good woman's snake proof boots. What manufacturers make a good, long lasting, quality snake proof boot? The lacrosse's I was looking at previously are out, as the back part of the top of the boot looks like it slopes down a few inches, which makes the 18" of protection a moot point. They also seem to have problems with waterproofing,. Rocky's seem to have a very bad track record of leaky boots as well. I am currently interested in the Irish setter outrider viper snake proof boot, found here: http://hunt.irishsetterboots.com/press/Outrider_Viper_Snake_Boots
or here, for better pictures: http://www.amazon.com/Irish-Setter-Outrider-Viper-Snake/dp/B005Q8MZUO
How are these boots? How are Irish setter/red wing snake proof boots track record? Anybody have any experience with this manufacturer? How are the zip up styles compared to pull on or lace up styles? What are some good recommendations for a men's as well as a woman's snake proof boot? (for the men's boot, 17" minimum height). Any and all input to include personnel experiences, with any snake proof boots and any manufacturers is appreciated. Thanks for all the help.

I don't think anyone wants the liability of answering this question either way. And all I will say is that I swear by Rocky Snake Boots. If I were going to buy another pair right now, I'd purchase the "Rocky Athletic Mobility Level 3 Snake Boot". The pair I have is great, but they're lace up. Zip boots weren't available when I got the ones that I have.

Very true on the liability issue and I should have clarified on what I meant about quality boots. I was referring to what boots are truly waterproof and the quality of the soles. As far as the snake resistance goes, I generally try to find out as much as I can about the boot before I consider purchasing it. I had been wondering why this question hadn't been answered yet. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will try to clarify more clearly. I am actually thinking of selling my size 12 D Danner pronghorn 18" snake boots and size 13 (I think they are size 13, can't remember the width)Cabelas Eldorado 17" Snake boots and get maybe a pair of Chippewas. Rocky's are just a tad short for my taste, but to each his own. Thanks again.
