Anyone see the news about loose monocle (leucistic from the pics) captured in southern California suburb? I would post it here if I knew how. Another black eye for the hobby.

STRONGLY ADVISE: NO "Hobby"; "Hobbies" get keepers, I mean MORONS, killed. One gal had a Gaboon; let it crawl loose during cleaning. She found it/ vice versa- Cops found woman dead w/ head in toilet, FILLED w/ congealed blood; WISH I could make this more graphic!
Thank (Whatever) Monacle found (by "Critter-Cops", I mean, "Fish & Game fools");
I am an "Academic Herpetologist- U.S., Australia, E. Africa (all academic); but I am a "Fence-sitter"- can't shake the bug of keeping/ I mean MAINTAINING (see Below);
SO: Hate me if you want; but draw upon my CONSIDERABLE (4 decades/ 3 univs. on 3 Continents- and have kept (="MAINTAINED SPECIMENS", boys 'N girls); Garters to Gaboons; Tantilla to TIGER (and a couple "herps" I STILL can't mention- Got it?
Everglades are LOSING battle- Pythons TOO evolutionarily overwhelming-
A couple of us Younger herpers "gamed-out" a scenario in 70's: "Which Spp. of snake would totally decimate Lower Sonora Life Zone"? Answer: Egyptian Cobras- what would 100+ do to the ecosystem where the competition are a bunch of lazy rattlesnakes?
Whatever you THINK the answer is- YOU; YOU- are responsible.
Happy Herping.
