Before I try, do you folks think it is possible to cross the two species. I have had much success with crotalus but haven't tried the Agkistrodon.

Haven't heard of it, but if Mardi Snipes can cross a Copperhead with a Cottonmouth, I'd imagine that a Cantil would cross with a Cottonmouth.

I guess its possible...Im really not a fan of hybrids. Just out of curiosity, what is your interest in starting a line of unpure snakes?
Thanks

I think it's interesting and basically just a hobby. Nothing I produce makes it to the wild, so no wrries there. Where ever you have two species that territories come together, you will have intergrades in the wild. Please don't let this become a bashing!! Josh

It seems Mr. Foley has something to say about it all. Being this is his site you would think he would be nice to people. Oh well

Nothing that CFoley posted was derogatory or rude in any way. It was simple criticism that one must expect when posting about a controversial subject, such as human-facilitated hybridization.
