Why can't I purchase snake venom online? Is it illegal? The pharmaceutical companies seem to be able to.

Yes, there are companies in this world which sell snake venom, compnents of snake venom as well as other proteins which other animals use. They sell these for medical and research purposes. If you are doing some sort of medical/scientific work where you have need of venom and have the backing of a university or some private research organization, then you would know where to go. Several companies that sell venom have websites, but they make a point of not selling to private individuals, unless there is a good reason to. So why do you want venom? Roger
