What would it take (or is it even feasible) to get every one of us together -- including those who don't keep hots, but don't want to lose their rights to keep exotics (it's coming too!) -- so that we are not just run over by legislators?
How can we go about it? What ideas do you all have? Are any of you guys out there attorney's?

Well, one suggestion is to start a grassroots organization that will lobby issues that you would like your legislatures and local officials to know and support.Hope this helps.

My suggestion is that when you hear about something that might threaten your ability to keep an animal in your state, you write your representatives. Dr. Fry has writen several state legislators in efforts to keep the hobby legal. I suspect that there are a few academics and respected herpetologists out there who are willing to write letters on our behalf if we ask.
Cheers,
Roger
