Check out the first two rattlesnake photos on the Snakes Alive!!! site under hot links. Is that what I think it is, or just a aberrant patterned Cane?

Is that a common color phase for the Timber in that part of its range? I do not recall seeing anything quite like it before. I thought possibly it was a naturally occurring hybrid of C.horridus x C.adamanteus.
There is a photo of one of these hybrids in Rubio's book, Rattlesnake:Portrait of a Predator. It is definitley a lot different looking than those N.C. Timber photos. Thanks,
