does this sound like a fair trade? i have two adult columbian boas(breeding pair) that a gut would trade a arizona black rattlesnake fo.the only thing is that i would have to pay shipping(about $85!)is this fair?also,what is the value of the rattler?i've heard alot of mixed answers.lmk-adam aircrew82@yahoo.com

I guess the "value" of the animal is whatever you're willing to pay for it.... the trade sounds a little lop-sided to me.... I had a guy offer me 2.2 Blacktails for $200 for all of them this spring.... unfortunately, he wanted to ship them to me by UPS.... so I passed on that deal.

That's the thing about trading! you pay the value of most snakes in shipping alone, so really what your doing is buying a snake for $85.00 and giving your boas away!!!!!!!I always find a deal that I can drive half way.
