Fabian,
The reason you see so many snakes injured by handling equipment is because you surround yourself with people that like yourself are probably not that good at it. Take the time and learn. I have also visited your site, and the apparency in what you say in your posts, shows a great deal about your novice nature.
Now, there is nothing wrong with being a novice, just please don't try to pass to everyone that you are some sort of professional, nor are you doing anything to save anyones life. Including yours. You said you can't take antivenom? Why because you are allergic? Allergies are a complication that is treatable. Much like snake envenomation. Also, you said that tools will injure a snake? What about your skin, knuckles etc that they bite. If you are being bitten that regularly, think about the damage you do to the jaw structure, let alone the damage you cause by improperly milking your snakes. Much like Kristen said, if your snakes are dying, maybe you don't know how to milk them. Or, you may not know how to care for them in the first place. I'm not sure which it is.

the other thing Fabian. Its has saved your life many times? How do you know that? Most, if not all of your bites have been from species of snakes that many times require little to no Antivenom.
Kristen, you might know the answer to this. When was the last time in the United States that an individual recieving Prompt and Proper treatment following a snake envenomation, Allergic reactions included, that died?
hmmm, now who says medical treatment isn't that good.
People do die in the U.S. from snakebite. But the ones that recieve Prompt and Proper treatment are not going too.
If you keep venomous snakes you should have the protocol so that you do recieve Prompt and Proper threatment or you shouldn't keep them.
